MOXIE Roundtable

The Center hosts the MOXIE Roundtable (MOvement for Expression, Inclusion and Equality) on the 1st Fridays in June, September, December and March from 6:00-7:30pm to bring together LGBTQ+ people and organizations from Darke County and surrounding areas, along with our allies, to raise awareness about the impact of laws and policies on the LGBTQ+ community, and present opportunities to advocate for policies and laws that promote and celebrate diversity, accessibility, equality and inclusion for all people, including LGBTQ+ people.

The MOXIE Roundtable is open to allies and those presenting intersectional and upstream/whole person suicide prevention issues, such as food security, housing, healthcare, accessibility, economic justice, women’s rights, disability rights, and more.

Agendas for the MOXIE Roundtable include a focused topic presentation followed by the opportunity for individuals and organizations to present on policy issues and opportunities to take action. (Please note, if you’re planning to a bring forth an issue or opportunity, please include a way for those present to take action – I.E. call legislator, write a letter to editor, etc.)

From time to time, the Center also produces or joins calls to action in the form press releases, OP/Eds, presentations, etc., and serves on a variety of coalitions and partnerships to provide a voice for the LGBTQ+ community. The Center is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and does not endorse or oppose political parties or candidates.
